Anthesis
Poetry to scratch your eyes out to.
bloom,
subsume the life cost,
lost amongst the fallen men,
the writhing sin given form.
The soil breathes.
Seethes at the thought of those fingernails.
Pale, twisting roots pushing between life and death.
The soil gives breath back.
Amalgamate the flesh of armies under the rose spread sublimate.
Resurrect,
Architect of flesh and bone.
Swallow gloam.
Thousands of open arms to welcome you home.
The roots bleed.
Seed pain in your chest, swallow her by the mouthful.
Doubtful She'll see the light so deep between tunnels of teeth.
The roots puppet the life you covet.
Sing between the screams.
Beams of god locked away under canopies of veil thin skin.
Sin swallowed the population, we swallowed the rest.

I absolutely love it. Might even print it and hang it somewhere. You took my very rough prompt and turned into something golden. Thank you 🫶
